Welcome to the archive project, Vacuumed Cache. My name is Minjeong, and this is a guide video on how to use the Vacuumed Cache.
Vacuumed Cache originated from the idea that we could hold onto and relive precious moments, similar to how a ziplock bag keeps food fresh.
When you first visit the website, you’ll see an introduction explaining the purpose of our service, what the service is, and what we hope users gain from it.
The cursor on the landing page is one of our main icons. There are four fixed icons representing different emotions or themes: Lost, Relationships, Travel, Personal Space, and Memory. This page also features various icon animations, and if there’s too much text to read, you can click the arrow in the middle to skip ahead.
After the text, you’ll see the “Start” button, which will take you to the Library page — the core part of our service.
On the Library page, you’ll see a navigation bar on the left-hand side. It has links to Library, Information, Search, and Submit sections.
Each block on the Library page represents a memory that respondents wanted to preserve. When you hover your mouse over each block, you’ll notice they have different colors and nicknames based on the response. Like on the landing page, there’s an arrow in the middle to quickly scroll through the 49 memories.
When you click on one of the blocks, it directs you to the Memory page, where you can check the color chosen by the respondent, their nationality, and share the memory on social media. By clicking the icon, color, or gradient background, you’ll be taken to the secondary memory page. Here, you’ll find personalized background music based on the respondent’s answer, along with the detailed response they provided.
You can also explore different categories on this page.
Next, let’s move to the Information page.
The Information page shows how many responses we’ve received so far and includes a video introduction to our service. We are planning to update the page with more detailed statistics, such as gender, nationality, and color preferences. You’ll also find information about the origins of this project.
The next page is the Search page, where users can search for their personalized memories using keywords.
Finally, we have the Submit page. Based on the feedback we received from our first exhibition, we have enhanced the website, and now everyone can participate in the project. Soon, we will also update the site so that your responses are automatically added to the archive immediately after submission.
This concludes our tour. Thank you for joining us today. We hope you enjoy our project, and that this space becomes a secure base for your memories.
